How the FBA box label cropper fits original PDF regions
The FBA box label cropper reformats labels from an existing Seller Central shipment PDF. It does not create a shipment or generate official box identifiers. Select each complete original label, retain its address, box ID, text and barcode blank borders, and review the region before export. Grid presets provide geometric starting points; they do not detect or validate the labels inside them.
A selected region is fitted proportionally onto a 4 × 6 inch portrait output area, or 288 × 432 PDF points. After rotation, the scale is the smaller of the available-width ratio and available-height ratio. One scale applies to both dimensions. The interface provides crop, quarter-turn rotation and margin settings; zoom stays fixed at 100% and offsets stay at zero. The default margin is 9 points, and the complete selected region is centered on the output area.
The source drawing content is embedded into a new PDF rather than replaced with a screenshot. Existing vector content remains PDF content, while a bitmap already in the source remains a bitmap. Uniform fitting cannot improve a blurred barcode, supply missing text or prove that a manually selected region includes the whole label. Reducing a large region can still make its original bars or type difficult to read.
Thermal output places one 4 × 6 region per page. A4 and Letter use landscape plain paper with two regions, each still 4 × 6. These layouts do not certify die-cut stock or Seller Central PageType compatibility. Optional packing notes get a separate PDF and never cover official artwork. Cropping is a visual selection, not secure redaction. Hidden content can remain recoverable, so a cropped PDF does not prove that personal data was removed.
scale = min((288 − 2m) ÷ rotated crop width, (432 − 2m) ÷ rotated crop height), at fixed 100% zoom and zero offsets. Sheet count = ceil(checked regions ÷ regions per sheet).
Select, review and print the complete original labels
Keep the official Seller Central shipment PDF as your source and match its box identifiers to the intended cartons. Choose one static PDF up to 20 MiB and fifty source pages. Encrypted PDFs, forms, annotations, nonstandard UserUnit values and the checked document/page action structures are rejected. A rejected file needs an appropriate static export from its trusted source before you can review and crop the labels.
Load the PDF and inspect the rendered page before choosing a grid. One region, two stacked, two side-by-side and a four-region grid are available. A page can also require an individually adjusted rectangle. The grid does not know whether a cell contains a carrier label, an instruction panel or only whitespace. Exclude unwanted regions and refine each boundary around the complete original box label, including every blank barcode border.
Review rotation, crop dimensions and margin on the displayed page before export. Use the preview to compare the full selection with the original, not to judge physical barcode performance. Mark each included region checked only after inspecting its text, box ID, address and blank borders. A copied crop applies only to matching page geometry; copied regions lose their checks and notes and require a fresh inspection. Matching boxes and rotation do not establish matching label placement.
Choose the output paper. For thermal media use 4 × 6 inches; for A4 or Letter select landscape and plan to cut apart the plain-paper regions. Export the checked batch, then inspect every exported page. For a damaged print, open the correct checked region and choose its single-region reprint. That operation retains the original identifier and does not create a replacement shipment record.
Print at Actual size or 100%, with Fit and Shrink disabled. Compare text and barcode borders with the source, then test the physical barcode. Keep packing notes separate. A settings link contains no PDF and cannot restore file selection; reselect the source locally. Shared query settings can appear in browser history and request logs.
FBA output sizes, grid controls and file boundaries
This table records PDF geometry, not stock compatibility. Divide points by 72 for inches. A4 and Letter two-up layouts have an 18 point gap; each prepared region stays 288 × 432 points.
A grid divides the displayed source page using its chosen inset and gap. For columns c, the region width is (page width − 2 × inset − gap × (c − 1)) ÷ c; the height uses rows in the same formula. The resulting rectangles must still be inspected and refined. A clean two-by-two division is not evidence that four complete official labels occupy those cells.
Split larger batches and keep the original PDF. Recheck each included region after changing its crop or placement.

Three FBA box label cropper examples with exact math
These scenarios demonstrate fitting and pagination using explicit crop measurements. They are not real shipment labels or physical printer tests. All dimensions in the fitting examples are PDF points, measured from the displayed page. Review the original content independently before marking any region checked.
Example 1: fit a 270 × 396 point complete region
With the default 9 point margin, the available width is 288 − 18 = 270 and height is 432 − 18 = 414. At the fixed 100% zoom, scale = min(270 ÷ 270, 414 ÷ 396) = 1. The prepared content stays 270 × 396 points. Centering places its left edge at (288 − 270) ÷ 2 = 9 and bottom edge at (432 − 396) ÷ 2 = 18. The tool’s fixed zero offsets retain those centered positions.
Example 2: rotate a 540 × 360 point region
An extra 90° turn makes the fitting dimensions 360 × 540. With the same 9 point margin and fixed 100% zoom, scale = min(270 ÷ 360, 414 ÷ 540) = 0.75. Content becomes 270 × 405 points, centered at left 9 and bottom 13.5. The interface exposes crop, rotation and margin; it does not provide zoom or offset controls. Compare the centered 270 × 405 point result with the complete original before marking the region checked and preparing its physical print test.
Example 3: five checked originals on two-up paper
Five checked label regions need ceil(5 ÷ 2) = 3 A4 or Letter landscape sheets, containing 2, 2 and 1 regions. Every prepared region remains 288 × 432 points; the final unused position stays blank. Thermal output instead needs five pages. If two of the selected regions contain packing notes, those notes make a separate two-page 4 × 6 note PDF. Reprinting only one checked region produces one label position, even when the rest remain included in the batch. It does not duplicate the label to fill a sheet or assign another box ID. Keep the unused last position blank when checking your exported print preview.
Avoid incomplete crops, identifier changes and privacy mistakes
Do not select only a barcode or replace an official box ID with a local reference such as P1-2. The reference helps navigate this workspace; it is not an Amazon identifier and is not drawn over the label. Keep the complete official label together and compare the intended carton with its original PDF before making a replacement print.
Do not use matching source-page dimensions as permission to skip checks. Copying a grid resets each affected region’s review state because labels can move or vary between pages. A preset can also include instructions or whitespace. Review the batch list, exclude unused cells and inspect the last output sheet when the count is odd. Remove obsolete physical copies according to your shipping procedure to avoid conflicting visible labels.
Do not send a cropped PDF as though unrelated details were securely erased. Content beyond the visible clipping box can remain in the file. Use a separate secure-redaction workflow when deletion is required. Keep packing notes separate, print with matching paper and orientation, and test the actual barcode. Correct geometry and an on-screen preview do not certify physical readability or Amazon receiving acceptance.
Five questions about original FBA labels and reprints
01Does this create an official FBA shipment or box label?
It reformats static artwork from a PDF for an existing shipment. It does not connect to Seller Central, call Amazon’s API, generate box IDs or verify a shipment.
02Will a grid automatically detect and validate every label?
Grids divide page geometry into one, two or four regions. They cannot distinguish a label from whitespace, instructions or other artwork. Refine and review each complete crop. Copied regions need fresh checks; matching page geometry does not establish matching label placement.
03How do the A4 and Letter outputs differ from thermal pages?
Thermal output uses one 4 × 6 inch page per prepared region. A4 and Letter use landscape plain paper with two unchanged 4 × 6 regions and an 18 point gap. They are not adhesive-stock or Seller Central PageType presets. Print at 100% on matching paper and cut regions apart.
04Can I reprint one damaged label and add a packing note?
Select the checked original region and use its single-region reprint control. It exports the original artwork without a new identifier or duplicate labels filling unused sheet space. Optional notes receive a separate 4 × 6 PDF marked as packing notes. They never cover the original or replace required shipment information.
05Does cropping remove hidden information or guarantee a scan?
Cropping clips the visible area; hidden source content can remain recoverable in the PDF. Uniform scaling cannot repair blurred bars or certify printer performance. Compare exported pages with the original, print at Actual size and test the physical barcode. Neither secure information deletion nor receiving acceptance is verified by this tool.
